We are saddened to share the news of the passing of John Flynn, long-time member of RPCVs of NENY. He was a Peace Corps volunteer in Afghanistan from 1965-1967 where he taught English. He was truly a wonderful and humble person who loved to travel and understand other cultures. It was always a pleasure to see John and his wife, Barbara at our meetings/events, and then later on our virtual meetings. John will be sorely missed and we are thinking of Barbara and their family. Click here to view his obituary and read where you can contribute in his memory. 

Sadly, we have heard the news that Karen Donaldson passed away on January 27, 2021. She was the long-time partner of Bill Batt, who is a past-president of RPCVs of NENY and one of the members who started RPCVs of NENY. Bill served in Thailand from 1962 to 1964 and shared that Karen visited Thailand with him twice over the 20 years they spent together. Sending peace and support to Bill from his RPCV family.
